Ah yes. Where the North Vietamese allowed the South Vietamese to successfully counter invade by themselves and to besiege and starve out Hanoi. And when that made the Chinese uppity, the ARVN deceisively destroyed the PLA Airforce and bombed Beijing with impunity, encouraging the USA to oppurtunistically bomb China for a bit themselves. This famously demoralized the American public so badly they cut off support, causing South Vietnam to fall to communism instantly. Clear cut historical example that when American proxies prove too capable at using American weaponry in combat, they lose.
