I like to make large batches of pinto beans. I am able to get them to taste good without adding any fat. Just beans, a white onion, some celery, pickled jalapeno, and a can of diced tomato at the end. Season with salt, cumin, chicken bullion, chili powder.
These are going to be a lot better than rice in terms of glycemic index. They also have more fiber, and some protein. Also super cheap. I don't think fatties should be touching rice desu.
