i have a theory that xbox put a hold on their in house xbox handheld because their waiting on the next gen AMD APUs. the AMD strix halo has the power of a PS5 with an integrated GPU, no dedicated GPU, at relatively low power. However it still requires more power and cooling than a handheld can provide, but next gen APUs could be nearly as powerful while running in a form factor and at the TDP of an rog ally x. we just aren't quite there yet, but we're so close. Look at this thing, it's a tablet with the AMD strix halo cpu that can run AAA games at 60 fps medium-high settings. A fucking tablet.
