What books can I read to understand why low IQ people are incapable of being critical and increasingly are developing a heard instinct that rejects the idea of criticism itself as something bad?

It's a very bizarre social phenomenon that I don't understand, and for which there seems to have little precedent in the history of consumption to understand. (I have consulted Bernays, Lipman, Marx, nothing this foundationally retarded is contemplated)
