Anyway, I look at my relatives the people I related to by blood, and one thing in particular I felt was missing I guess is that I didn't really see anything that seemed relatively Americana. I guess I never really realized just how much my tastes have been shaped by it, but in some core aspect they have. I don't know if I would say it's all Americana, but the spirit is always there.

Like I was just thinking about Treasure Planet, it's the only example I can think of at the moment, I feel like the spirit and style of the film are somewhere between European and early American, maybe european Explorer.

I can't don't really know about the stuffiness of Europe and their silly clothes they used to wear. It makes me want to know what my family would have been like or where I get this from.
