Can't decide between starting a Zealot or Veteran, (played a bit during Beta of both but lost my characters and couldn't decide then, either)

I am a huge fan of knights and loved playing Empire Knight/Grail Knight Kruber in Vermintide. Should I play a Veteran with a power sword build or a Zealot? I basically just have a thing for heavy armor characters and the 'bulwark against darkness' fantasy, but basically all humans in 40k have a sort of crusader paladin vibe so I can't really choose.
