Low res works so much better for this style. It's a little like how playing old games on a CRT looks better since the fuzziness adds texture. Kinda like this: the new PSG feels like the example on the left. It's higher res and has clearer colors, but at what cost? Sharp, clear images are definitely better for stills or promo images though.
