Take a look at the Citadel Defense Spectre chest rig. Holds up to 6 AR mags, has 2 GP pouches similar to the USGI canteen pouch, map pocket, H-harness included, made in USA, etc. $210. Not as cheap as a surplus TAP rig, but a hell of a lot better.
