There is a relatively consistent internal view of all the main Sonic characters within SoJ and Sonic Team. There's a consistent 'idea' there. The idea that Sonic canon "doesn't exist" is nonsense.
All I'm seeing here right now is a bunch of adult men who are mentally children, enraged at Sega not supporting whatever headcanon they have.
There are people here who like Sonic and its characters for what it is. And then there are people like you who would benefit from finding a different franchise that you truly like instead of demanding core character traits be changed for you personally.
