I saw people say here that when dealing with a new friend character, you don’t need to explain anything about them and can just say “they’re here now”. If I want to have Gold in fic about Silver (in his future), do I need to take a step back to introduce her properly and explain how they met or can she just be an acquaintance of Silver’s?
