the differences are more obvious for women
malay girls = baju kurung, long sleeves, jeans, head bag (tudung/hijab), etc
chinese girls = pic related
obviously i am exaggerating a bit
i was at an expo in kl recently and there was a malay woman there wearing a tudung and long sleeve top with jeans down about mid-calf, and pink high heels. outside of the crazy muslim areas people tend to wear whatever they want.
