I meant that when the game was new people didn't have an idea how to min max the perfect deck, because the game was still fresh. something that classic WoW struggles with too, the authentic experience isn't fully possible because it's 2025. people have a better understanding of the mechanics, such as tanks now knowing to pull entire groups while back in 2004 it was pretty common for most people to assume that pulling just a few adds at a time was the right way of tanking. the average player knows exactly what to do now, thus top tier decks are created quickly after new cards are added.
early hearthstone players were mostly comprised of casuals who never played card games so figuring out exactly how to build a deck, what works together, how to best use the classes' gimmicks, etc. there were those who had a good grasp of card games too back then but I'm talking about the average joe you'd face back then.
also I exclusively play homebrew garbage in wild so stfu mang.......
