Hover your mouse on the top of the screen (in fullscreen) or view the top of the window (windowed) to see the options bar. It's a separate config from the one ingame and that's where the options for patches and censoring are at.
Be sure to uncensor the text and change the window to 4:3 letterboxed (widescreen crops everything and breaks text/effects). Also, use the hybrid/combined soundtrack instead of the remastered one. The redone tracks don't fit the mood of the VN
