What happens here, are stocks worth buying based on similar factors (hype, bullish short-term news) or traditional factors (projected industry growth, global climate)? Are stock traders always at risk of a GFC-tier wreckoning due to the current/upcoming state of the world?

For example, if this war is nearly over, wouldn't defense stocks be worse to look into? The AI meme is obviously growing, but is it a certainty you'd have a significant ROI within 2-3 years (what if something better comes about)?
