I wasn't in collections or being sued. The loan was still held by the federal government. Like I said, my account was in good standing. I didn't make any payments during the pandemic forbearance (in hindsight a very good choice), but before and after that I made on-time payments every month. Sorry your friend the Student Loan Jew didn't get every penny out of me he could have.

Here's the email. I don't know why it says repayment of 20 years or 25 years. I took these loans out in 2009 and started repayment in 2014.
