BTC doesn't need to be 51% attacked when its network security depends overwhelmingly on dedicated hardware manufactured in China that requires permission to be imported and distributed. Crippling the BTC network is therefore as easy as cutting off the supply of new ASICs and waiting for the old ones to burn out. Or even simpler: just pull the plug on all known mining farms in a coordinated global attack.

ASIC mining = permissioned mining.

And btw, what is is easier to attack is also easier to defend. That's the beauty of RandomX: everybody in the developed world already owns several Monero "ASICs".
