I think it helps to put restrictions and limitations to your working environment and tools. So you're forced to come up with the most simple solutions, ideas and designs. The more simple the less fuck ups, and all of a sudden you develop speed (for good or for bad), I mean, speed doesn't equals to quality, but there's always a middle ground in everything.
A few years ago I started doing a bunch of low res pixel stuff here, going to the most basic of all things, to force myself into the habit of getting shit done, that was useful too. A quickie in picrel for you... I dd that in 5 minutes. It's not gonna be the real panel, I'll re-do again it later.
