No, breaking the fourth wall isn’t enough. If it were, characters like Deadpool or She-Hulk would qualify as having toon force. The fact that it was just a fake-out and didn’t actually happen means it can’t be counted. For it to qualify, the gag has to stick. It can’t just disappear after a cut. Eddy bit the sun, and when he did that, it actually turned to night within the plot of the episode, and it stayed night. It wasn’t undone by a scene transition. Or when Arale pokes the sun with a pitchfork, it deflates and becomes night for real, and the world reflects that change. Yes, it’s a gag, but it truly affects the world. And even if that planet-blowing-up feat does count as toonforce, what the hell are they supposed to do with it? It has no combat application.
