Depends on how humid it is, not here to shill for Halal garbage bags with eye holes but robes/burkas are surprising a good at keeping you cool if it's mostly just intense UV sunlight you have to worry about. There's a reason hot AF places in Arabia has that as common attire aside from the cultural reasons. Honestly it beats applying sunscreen that you'll just sweat off after 20 minutes (which especially sucks if it rolls down into your eyes) however probably not all that ideal for swimming, joggin, or biking but if all your gonna do is walk down the street too the grocery store or post office it's probably fine.

Course I'm just speaking with a bias as I'm lazy so instead of applying sunscreen myself I'll usually just throw on some sweat wicking sports cloths or a very thin blazer jacket either to keep the sun off my skin if I'm out for a prolonged period of time or walking around at night so I'm not getting eaten by mosquitos. Unless of course it's a warm but windy day then I'll gladly wear shorts&T's.
