I think it really varies a lot, I have tried local models and kobold horde through sillytavern and despite allowing nsfw they're kind of meh and uninspired in writing and the context is limited so it goes off the rails fairly quick, novel ai is good at writing but its bad at 1 on 1 chats since its clearly designed for the narrative mode and it constantly wants to control your dialogue as well, there was one called dungeon ai that was decentish but then the nsfw broke, chatgpt is decentish but you have to feed it a ton of context or it will go off the rails quick too, gemini is the best BUT its super buggy and you have a high chance of just randomly losing a chat and also it doesn't do nsfw also BUT it will do borderline nsfw, I played D&D with it and it let me fuck a prostitute but faded to black after some explicit groping, was surprised how far it went

so basically once someone creates a less buggy, instant response, matching context size, allows nsfw gemini it will be the best one but for some reason no major company is investing in nsfw ai, only 3rd world devs with shit hardware that you could just do yourself at home with the same shit context size
