I genuinely think the POTD/HOH enemies are a great way to approach difficulty. Not just extreme pattern memorization but have a bunch of enemies with their own gimmicks you need to remember, then stuffing the player into a maze with increasing amounts of them.

Yeah. EW did have some interesting gameplay parts like the stealth mission, the garlemald microwave hallway that people complained about.
I don't mind the walking to talking bits but I do think they could stand to mix it up more often.
