Twinfangs sounds like Viper. I have to admit I haven't seen the Viper relic (nor do I play Viper). Right now, I don't really have a relic I enjoy. Sage is silly, Dragoon is too chunky, Monk is whatever to me, Warrior is a big slab of volcanic rock or whatever that doesn't do anything for me, and I like the Dark Knight one somewhat but I don't like the guard.

Yeah it's unpopular niche content. The general playerbase wanted it to be easier, and that combined with the lack of rewards killed any interest in it. Which is a shame because the mechanics are interesting and the checkpoints make it very friendly to prog. I think it was the right move to put some of that budget towards Chaotic instead and it's an awful mistake that they again made Chaotic harder than what the players wanted.

For me, I would love criterion if it was just a bit more approachable. I dunno if calling it "savage" is a fair assessment for it, but when I see criterion, I just see savage. And then you have savage criterion, so it just feels like savage and savager. I don't really see the point.

Yea, it's a really nice tool so you can have visual parity between you and friends but it's used mostly for gooning purposes. I don't really care that much since I don't engage with those people. You can check for those mods though, someone may have made them. You could also make them yourself if you really wanted to. I can see Calyx being a longer overarching villain. But not for the entire "10-year arc". His interest in dimensional travel and transcending the boundaries of mortality makes it possibly to carry him forward, and they did just kind of drop him into the plot in 7.2, essentially.

I never understood the red glow on the Paladin weapon. I can't remember if the WAR also had a red glow, but they should have been blue. Paladin theme is all about white/silver/gold/blue. A holy knight. A holy ISHGARD knight. Red was just a bad color for it.

The reaper teal color was nice though. I always associate teal / greenish blue with necromancers and reaper definitely fits with that vibe. If there were more wicca / bone themed armor you could do a good looking witch / necromancer glam with it.

You can solo it, go with friends, or use its own duty finder. I tried the duty finder this time since when it came out I used to solo them for the lore and to discover all the different routes by myself. Variant is really easy, Criterion is the (savage-level) hard one you'll have to PF if you want to do it.

I always really liked EW's story, even if most people say it's not as good as Shb. The music during the final 6.0 trial was especially good and there's some genuine tearjerker moments as you approach the end.
Dawntrail really shat the bed in terms of story, though. It picks up in quality with 7.2 but you gotta get through a lot of bullshit to get to that point.

I will say EW had some really fantastic raids though, so if you like that kinda content then I think it's worth it. Also the Dawntrail raids are pretty good too. Same with most of the dungeons. The Endwalker dungeons are a bit too easy, which was a point of feedback the devs got.

And also one example of improved story does not a pattern make. Even as a hoper, I can't in good conscience insist that "the story is good now". At least until we see what 7.3 has, so we can see if 7.2 was a fluke, or if they really cleaned up their shit.
7.2's quality is also in more than just the story and the presence (or lack thereof) of Wuk Lamat. It's in how polished it was for a MSQ patch, and how little it felt like they were spinning their wheels with it.
