The purpose of freemasonry is to influence and indirectly control the future of human civilizations. The organization structure (as all secret societies) acts as a filter: almost anyone can join the lower degrees of initiation but only those capable of keeping secrets and who are ideologically aligned to the order's goals are carefully chosen and groomed for advancement.
