The problem is when they exert themselves, that is when the nasal cavity struggles to maintain full lung capacity. But unless you are leaving them out in the sun or hiking up a trail that isn't going to happen. Throw in the fact that they are one of the longer living dog breeds and you soon realize that the health issues is highly overstated. Get a godd breeder, feed them good food, keep them at a healthy weight, keep them nice and cool and do nice walks. Same advice for just about every dog.
