Because the wizards are the equivalent of (most) mutants in Marvel: Assholes with a God complex because they can do something normal people can't and don't believe anyone who isn't part of their caste measures up. Look at how Ron's dad is ultimately viewed as an idiot for taking an interest in muggle items. Look at how muggles have obscenely broken things that make what the wizards have or can do either obsolete or irrelevant yet no one uses them.
>Why are owls and Howlers even a thing when phones exist when the books take place? Owls would basically only be useful to be a pseudo UPS at best.
>Why in the world do wizards even bother to actually live in the Wizarding World doing menial tasks like tending bar or farming when just melting down the random coins from even a monthly wage in said world would make you a multi-millionaire since Galleons are literal gold coins?
>In addition to that, why do they even spend said Galleons on magical items or random enchanted food/drinks when, again, a single Galleon is equivalent to like a third of a year's minimum wage?
Picture related. A Galleon is assumed to be 25mm in diameter and 1mm in thickness because it's apparently around the size of a 50 pence British coin meaning you'd get roughly .61 grams of gold if you melted just one of them down.
>Why do they even bother with banning the Unforgiveables when they teach students conjuration as a basic class to graduate which could easily be used to just conjure up a gun and infinite ammo?
>As soon as the internet and smartphones become relevant the Wizarding World is basically impossible to ignore as everyone now has a phone on them and the students inside of Hogwarts would make videos of them using magic, demonstrating it, filming Hogwarts, and more. Even if Hogwarts itself had random wards that disabled electronics, distorted the images of it, and somehow distorted the images of students or magic it wouldn't change the fact now everything people do are distorted.
