I agree with everything you said other than the writing of season 2, it's kinda like a GoT situation where it reached a new tier of bad because what came before it was so good. The animation is still beautiful. Fortiche dragged that script kicking and screaming over the finish line. Also I'm no fighting game enjoyer, but 6 years to launch a beta with 8 characters in a tag-team fighting game seems pretty egregious. I do hope it's good though.
