Zen seemed to have put a lot of time, effort, and consideration in before ultimately deciding to cut her out of her life. That's not really something you go back on easily, and Mouse never tries to mend things herself and let's them play their course. Zen is the only one who has the potential to fix things. But if she doesn't want to, Mouse will be more than happy to permanently go their separate ways.
