What I'm talking about is proper geothermal, as in you use deep-bore drilling equipment, similar to oil drilling, that bores a hole hundreds of meters deep into bedrock.
That is an entirely different thing both efficiency wise but also stability wise.

Of course if you do the retarded version where a bunch of pipes just lay in soil, the soil will move and the pipes will get destroyed. It's not even that efficient, because the whole idea of geothermal is to use to your advantage the temperature delta found deep in the bedrock, if you just lay pipes into the soil its stupid the temperature is not going to be all that different
