Its really simple. A lot of people are NPCs. They operate like soulless machines without the capability to create abstract and higher functioning forms of though or art, and they have a preference for machines like them. Soulless and artificial. TVs, video games, and other materialistic and hedonistic pleasure provided to them by migrants who use machines to make their products, shipped over seas by other NPCs commandeering machines. This is about 85% of the global population. But some people, those who can visualize the spinning apple, find themselves admiring AI more than their sub human counterparts. Its a tool to better yourself and find knowledge beyond the means of your own person. AI is truly a gift to those who think. The reality is that AI, even in its infancy can outperform 85% of the human population, by being able to visually rotate the apple, in their own brain, while brown people cannot. This is damaging to the ego of your average communist NPC who view competition and fighting spirit as an oppressive force. The negative reaction you see from people criticizing AI, is nothing more than the NPC mind set being forcibly replaced. Their ego has been killed without their consent. To an atheist, the ego is god. They know they are easily replaced with AI, and the true masters of this planet will outperform them by leaps and bounds. Why do you think the most offended by AI are atheist artists? They have no soul and cannot compete with actual humans, but they served a purpose. They made the logos on your drink cups, and the advertisements you're forced to endure. But beyond these technical feats they cannot compete with the actual humans. AI replaces them on every level and they are afraid of such progress, as their success derives from the lack of progress that is strived for by man. The people who hate AI the most are essentially biological machines, meanwhile real humans unironically connect more to the AI that actually understand what it means to be human
