>but thoughts of this new reality still creep in

>i never thought there would be so many children caught up in their ranks
>hard not to have the thought get to ya, ya know

>whats worse is the state i saw one of the zombie children in yesterday
>at the end of the road leading to a corn field i spotted her through my scope
>she was lying on her back, through her bloated features i could tell she probably wasnt more than ten
>her belly was bloated to a disturbingly unnatural size to the point of semi translucence
>and i could see inky indescribable forms writhing beneath the surface
>just when i thought i was the worst thing i had ever seen a creature emerged from her to take flight
>that poor girl, or what once was one, lying on the pavement was the first i gunned down as the mob pushed to meet my bullets
>the thought of more of these zombie children ending up like her made me want to kill them all, so they wouldnt have the chance to end up like her
>no matter how much it hurt my heart to see their faces as they died their last death by my hands
