It's never that subtle. If she wanted to do that, it would've been obvious and had some aspect of their relationship being secret or looked down on or whatever. But instead it's treated completely normally and without any sort of pushback. They're just a side couple, who happen to be gay, who exist as bit players in an already side show character's subplot.
/a/nons also got triggered by the female gestapo wizard getting triggered by the guy selling x-ray specs and getting super mad about it. They just can't handle any character expressing a strong moral opinion that is not immediate and explicitly shut down without treating it like its the author's screed.
