It's okay if you don't want Indians in Avatar. But they should have thought of that before naming the show "Avatar", an Indian word. They should have thought of that before making the main conceit of the show the constant rebirth of a divine savior straight from Hindu mythology. They should have thought of that before making the Fire Kingdoms word for their central cultural element "Agni", the Indian word for fire. They should have thought of that before basing the philosophy of the show on Dharmic philosophy. They should have thought of a lot of things.

The thing is, it's impossible to make anything based on Asia without including Indian stuff because India is a country in Asia and has had an oversized influence on the culture of Asian countries all over.

Okay, you don't want Indian stuff in Avatar. Fine. No more bald monks wearing yellow/orange (like the Chuddha wojak). No more conversation about duty vs violence from the turtle (Gita). No more Agni kai.

Playing random Jaoanese games, seeing demons calked "Asura". No more of that. Japanese monks exclaiming "Amitabha!". No more of that. All Indian names and concepts.

Don't want Indians in Asian stuff? Remove all that. It won't even look like what you think of as "Asia" in the end. Half of "Asia" is Indian stuff
