I doubt John even has that much years left in him, he’s almost 70 and is suffering from health problems, we can no longer rely on the OG Spumco crew, at this point, why not just put Newgrounds animators in charge? Theres people like Dorkymations and LotusBandicoot directly influenced by John Ks work that I can see running a reboot rather smoothly.
