Too add a bit more after thinking on it, I also feel the issue is the "generic" part of what you said. I think we have yet to have anyone really do the classic D&D style wizards, rangers, warlocks, druids etc. Mythic Legions are pretty good at the pseudo historical guys, knights, viking-esque warriors, but most of their stuff really doesn't evoke that classic fantasy feel for me. It's cool with nice variety, but their line has its own atmosphere. I've yet to see anyone really manage to nail it, i think Savage Crucible are getting close with stuff like Nashorn. (I would walk on hot coals for a proper D2 Amazon figure)
