not him but I always likened it to Samurai Jack's world where it incorporates pockets of ancient civilization mixed with futuristic and fantastical setting including monsters, demons and robots etc. Like the time Jack was fighting through a futuristic city in one episode and in another he is fighting the demons of Set in the ancient ruins of not!Egypt.
