In an ideal world, it would've taken her at least two chapters to finally learn and internalize to not hurt darkners even if they might try to hurt you first (it makes complete sense for her to think this way), have her get know the residents of castle town a little better and in the process learn to stop being an asshole. It really does feel like she's had no character development to show at times, MK and Catti are completely justified.
