I haven't heard the term spunky before but I fail to see the benefit of two human kids and Hashtag is the most annoying character I have seen in years. I admit it, I fucking hate zoomers and social media addicts like her. She made me almost drop the show so I would kick her first.

The series doesn't need "the scientist" I think. This is such an overused trope and kiddos aren't experienced enough to be one anyway. Agree that the drone one and Thrash are fine though (which I assume is what spunky means). To be honest I don't actually like any of the "good" terrans and kids, but at least the transformation and colors are nice here.

One of the biggest gripes I had was how the whole Optimus working for Ghost subplot amounted to nothing. Like other anons I was expecting some interesting new take on OP who is willingly siding with a morally grey organisation to keep the Cons locked up because you cannot turn all people good by spreading love. But nah, he's just a good guy and turns out, the Cons are also good guys. Makes me wonder they even had that war.
