At least you found something in TADC. For me it's hard to care about any of the funny new scrimblos because it only took a few kicks to teach this dog not to engage with the ever changing horizon.
Gumball. Pokemon. Sonic. Kirby. Each one had a unique little way to hook me in, and a unique little way for me to not care about them in the way I used to. Not that I will ever turn them away entirely but they all taught me... to learn when to keep a distance? I think that's the best way I can put it. I know what each of these franchises are up to still and it's cool to see that they chug along for someone else to maybe pick it up for the first time, so I find happiness in that, everyone deserves to have their golden opportunity like I did, but it's not for me anymore. Hell, if I get that opportunity to interact with anything new they put out I will take it, but the urgency isn't strong like it used to be, I won't be chasing it like in the past.
Basically, one man's trash is another man's treasure! I hate to sound rude and cynical, I've done enough of that in my life (and here in this thread too if I must admit) but that is probably the best analogy I can make at the moment, I just ask that you tune down the vileness of that phrase a bit to hopefully understand I don't mean to be as harsh as I sound. I still find new avenues of media to engage with so I'm not jaded, I've developed a new pattern of tastes that are fairly polar with what I used to like, but I'm not going to let this new pattern be the new me entirely. This pattern wouldn't exist without the old pattern anyhow, and I have to acknowledge that and learn how to respect what I can.
