This was my cope as well but I get the feeling they would do some sort of memory wipe like at the end of Canto 4 to avoid referencing the actual AK characters in the main story. It would be funny as fuck though, if they did another recap like Hong Lu somewhere down the line and suddenly Amiya and the Doctor just randomly showed up in it alongside all of our limfriends and family.
