This was my cope as well but I get the feeling they would do some sort of memory wipe like at the end of Canto 4 to avoid referencing the actual AK characters in the main story. Actually, I was thinking that for certain EGOs like Yi Sang's match flame they could instead lower the cost. It costs 5 wrath, 1 gluttony, and 1 sloth. 7 sin resources to roll 20 and, in my opinion, more importantly apply 10 burn (4 if unlucky) and gaining the passive to apply burn on clash win with wrath resonance. This is kinda meh to me, especially when you compare it to stuff like this. Capote applies 13 burn (since if it's on a boss the extra burn will land on them anyway), applies a bunch of tremor which it bursts and the buffs for only... 5 resources.

If they made 4th match flame cheaper like 3/1/1 or even 2/1/1 I would say it's worth the cost and its value goes up. It becomes a really easy to get 12 to 20 skill that can add a good amount to your burn pile.
