In the first season she unlocks her air bending because her boyfriend was in trouble
In the second season the DARK AVATAR (don't ask) severs all her connections to her past lives and wiped them out, aka Korra is now the first avatar for any future Avatars looking for advice. Also the day is saved by a girl floating down from the sky and unleashing a golden light that beats the bad guy. Also Korra opens up the spirit portals and lets spirits invade the real world so yeah. Remember Koh the face stealer? Yeah he's having a fucking blast thanks to this shit.
The third season isn't great but decent enough. Nowhere near as good as the first show's season though
The fourth season has pic related Evangelion mechs and Korra beats the bad guy by saying "you're just like me" and she also suddenly becomes gay in the last minute of the show and fucks off to the spirit world with her girlfriend
