Is there any way to host these without paying for a service? I think having to pay for a server for the booru while according to him being unemployed was what eventually broke neokuns brain. That and the general responsibility of being sole host for events like this.
I'm thinking something more casual like a google docs/slide/sheets (whichever) that hosts the participants and important progress updates, and group polls deciding played games and playthrough dates
The group playthroughs were really fun honestly, I think they'd reinvigorate game discussion in a positive way at least a little
