Here comes the "ughh" part. You actually have to choose a broker, do some homework on proper investing and have a system to budget your money. Most people seem to agree that ETFs are pretty safe and give good returns compared to just buying stocks.
Then you could use a dollar cost average strategy since timing the market is a pain.
