Kleros is without a doubt a great project and fills an important niche for decentralized forum moderation. The problem is that niche is simply not very profitable at all. A single Facebook moderation event costs 10 cents on average. And right now Kleros cases to challenge a profile on PoH cost nearly $100. It’s not sustainable or scalable, at all. It could gain adoption on a decentralized version of Twitter, or even use for escrow on a decentralized marketplace. But there’s just not enough money in that to justify a multi billion dollar dollar valuation. I’d say the current price is pretty fair considering it’s a working product with real integrations. But even peak bull run I don’t see it going much above $1. There’s just not a lot of money in the decentralized moderation niche.
And people who think big companies will actually use this are delusional. A call center in Mumbai is infinitely cheaper. It may not be as convenient for the end user, but that’s not what matters. It’s about cost efficiency
