It would be pretty easy to actually generate new content for the pre-rendered Final Fantasy games using AI art + digital touch ups to make pre-rendered backgrounds. Yes, AI art is slop with errors, but it'd get someone 90% of the way there and they'd just have to touch up the errors in the image.

Is there anything I'm missing? You could even potentially commission basic sketches of the layout for a room, put it through an AI art generator, then touch up a bit instead of raw-dogging it just with prompts.
