Also I wanted to mention my favorite and least favorite events, rank the Main Story Chapters as well as use the character sorter as a pseudo tier list for every Book 1 character based on how I like the character based on their appearances in the Main Story and Events. For the most part it's accurate.

Favorite Event
I really liked all the events but I'd say Sea Side Summer School mainly because it was a happier time, the character interactions were nice, and the pacing was good in my opinion.

Desert Journey and Valentine Panic are also high on my list.

Least Favorite
New Year's With Lil' Salomon
This feels like a cop out since it's not officially translated but nothing really happened and it was kinda seemingly retconned.

But if I had to choose another event as a non cop out answer It would be Black Snow on The Hot Spring Mountains.
There were too many characters and the pacing was slow because of it and felt like a slog to read. But I really loved the dynamic between Kamui and Chernobog.

My favorite Chapters

Chapter 4 The themes in the Chapter, Maria's backstory and her as character are just wonderful.
Chapter 8 The pacing at the end was a low point that lowered it for me.
Chapter 7 and Chapter 6 are both really good I can't choose which would be 3rd place.
Chapter 3 It's where the story picks up. Not has much as the later ones bit still solid.
Chapter 5 It was a short one and not every Chapter needs to be super high stakes but compared to the others its weaker.
Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are my least favorite mainly because Chapter 1 is a two part info dump and then pacing of Chapter 2 was really fast then about the last three sections of info dumping. They both could have been one Chapter.

Sorry for spamming/rambling! Chapter 8 was a lot but I'm excited to finally finish Book 1. I've enjoyed the Story and Events so far and wanted to share my thoughts. But I'm done rambling for now.
