No the two game communities are fundamentally incompatible with each other
Age of Sigmar players tend to be younger, lower IQ and more impulsive. The "game" is just rolling dice and knocking models over, nobody even knows the rules (besides pretending to be on a horse or something, an event everyone at an LGS has observed at least once). They don't care about narrative or even wargaming, they just view it as a quirky board game, or just like playing with toy soldiers. I saw some just knocking each other's models down and arguing "nuh uh my guy shot your guy first!" It's a children's pastime that some mentally ill adults also partake in
Old World is an actual wargame with decades of history and centuries of lore. You can make truly compelling narratives around dynamic games fueled by a beautifully crafted set of rules that inspire real stories and real strategic depth. Models are often painted and played in private clubs and cigar houses rather than the brick and mortar obese glue traps of an LGS.
Combine both and the Old World fans would go back to historical wargaming and other productive uses of time. Sigmar players wouldn't even notice anything different, just more boxes to buy and post online
