>How's Rogue Legacy 2 compared to first one?
its one of the few games where i say:
>this makes the first game obsolete
the only other sequel i consider this improved is Legend of Grimrock 2
keep in mind, the combat is nothing like DMC, its closer to something like say, shovel knight, its more about platforming to evade blows, jumping on enemies, using the environment to block projectiles, that kinda thing
so for comparison, while a boss fight in VS might take place in a simple arena and test your dodge/block timing while waiting for the perfect chance to strike
a boss fight in RL2 is going to take place in an arena full of platforms where you will constantly be evading projectiles
but there IS a lot of oportunity for skill expression, theres lots of different classes, and with each of them you have "skill crits" meaning if you perform an sttack in a specific way, you deal more damage, testing positioning and timing
for instance, the knight deals a skill crit when he attacks while dashing, the samurai deals a skill crit when you hit someone with the very tip of your sword, the ranger deal a skill crit when you fire your charged arrow shot at a precise moment
its cool
