I like Switched On Lotus too cause it showcases a gentler side of Hirasawa that often gets lost or overshadowed by his more frenetic sounds. From what I understand that album was done in memory of some friends from a Thai cabaret who had passed.

I think the album that is most like Hirasawa's solo material is probably the last album called P-Model or Die. Maybe start there and then work backwards? My personal favorite P-Model album is Scuba Recycle, but the self titled album from 1990 and their debut In a Model Room are both stellar too.
