Because the game launched last week
This wasn't a "Server test" this wasn't a "Stress test" this wasn't a "Beta test" it was the launch of the game. Why should my progress be erased? Even if it's 2 hours what gives them the reason for doing so?
"A few people got ahead" isn't a good reason. If someone abused the system and got a lot of gold, just remove that gold from them. Why should 98% of people be punished for something that 2% of the people did?
A wipe "Because some people got ahead" isn't going to change anything, those people will still get ahead no matter what they do or how many times they wipe.
